I have to admit that this movie moved me on many levels. After getting over the initial shock of what is, for very obedient reason, considered to be not honest a violent film but also a very disturbing one in terms of subject - this movie I am convinced is destined to become a cult classic. As mentioned previously, Battle Royale is an unforgiving movie but like all ample films there are pockets of resistance and liberation. This exceedingly disturbing and deeply saddening film about watching young kids killing each other out of a primal need to survive should disturb anyone with a shred of humanity left in them. What should be famed is that in this case of art imitating life it opens up a portal of consideration of how people may react in this type of place and the inherent complexity contained therein.

No matter what critics say about its violence Battle Royale is really a epic about character. Based on the original by Takami Koshun, Battle Royale is engrossing on many. One blueprint to watch the movie is in terms of a not so distant future Japan (which is this case can stand in as a metaphor to other countries) where the government’s trepidation about rampant juvenile delinquency and the a lost generation’s blatant disregard for order and the rule of law has caused it study more immediate and less creative ways to deal with the pickle, the solution: the systematic annihilation of teenagers. Needless to say that despite the films substandard cinematography and primitivistic tendencies - it being situation in a tropical island and all - not to mention the almost mandatory erotic undertones, it is more than anything, a movie about a society on the verge of imploding. It is distinguished that Fukasaku’s motivations for making the movie transcend politics and society. Dilemma: if your survival rested on you killing your best friends, would you do it? This is the circumstance in Battle Royale and it is a very bewitching one. This brutal premise and what happens next is inevitably - a very cruel film. Fukasaku rendition has a Lord of the Fliesesque quality about it. I cannot stress how sizable a movie this is though. Overall, this is one of the most conception provoking, disturbing, and much films released. I was not surprised that this film has not been released in the US but objective like the saga of “RINGU” - my guess is that inevitably this film will be hijacked as well - it is the Hollywood intention.

Another “layer” to be uncovered from this blood-soaked saga is how Fukasaku calls to expect a Japanese society whose rage over youth delinquency (as mentioned previously) and has gone so far to imagine a `final solution.’ If it was Fukasaku’s intent, it got me thinking that if such a solution were place in station the results would be a fight to the death will be a traumatized, mad and extremely mentally agile mind would be released succor on society - making the scrape doubly worse - as if the society is cultivating violence. In Battle Royale Fukasaku is opinion provoking again in that he allows for pockets of resistance and moments of female empowerment. The sub-plot of hacking in to the system and destroying the whole game and the scenes with Mitsuko (Kou Shibasaki) although not original add a particular liberating quality to the film. However there detached is lingering the disturbing theme of Battle Royale, dealing as it does with the corollary of a system of violence transferred from generation to generation thus perpetuating a cycle of violence. In the destroy, the hub of the Battle Royale films is that violence without doubt impacts children. Is this what we want as a future for them? A wild, sexy, and concept provoking film that begs to be watched more than one time to be fully appreciated.

It’s the future… Kids have stopped going to class, and are becoming pests. So the government has started a current program called the “BATTLE ROYALE SURVIVAL PROJECT.” What happens is that one class of 9th graders a year is chosen by just lottery to go onto a deserted island. The kids then accumulate ‘voted off’ the island. And by ‘voted off’ I mean they slay each other. Each kid gets a bag, inside is food, water, a intention, and a random weapon. With this weapon, they are ordered to extinguish each other until one remains.

This movie has everything. Violence, situation, character development (somewhat — enough to satasfy me), and an extraordinary tale. It’ll support you on the waste of your seat, or couch, or whatever.

Oh, and if you go out and gawk the novel Tarantino movie, End BILL, the actress that plays Liu’s bodyguard is one of the kids from Battle Royale.

This is one unbelievable movie. No, you don’t have to be familiar with the series to bask in it, but the familiarity will acquire several moments in the movie that remarkable more tragic. The action here is amazing, and unlike several of the Star Inch movies, the characters don’t deviate from their series personnas. The emotional impact of several scenes is so intense it was hard to finish seated (a wreck landing sequence can almost give you motion sickness) . This brings a satisfying kill to the storyline the unique series had started. It’s a shame the display never got to thunder this sage in its entirety. You can gawk where some parts of the movie are rushed in a procedure. Something that could have been stretched over weeks in a series had to be handled in minutes, and that robs it a exiguous. But you have to applaud Whedon for being able to tie up all the loose ends he started with fair two hours. Shame on the network for cancelling this, but congratulations to Whedon for giving the fans–both broken-down and new–the ending the reveal deserved. Heroes will shine, and some will plunge, but Serenity will live on.

Don’t pay attention to the amazon.com reviewer, this movie is one of the best comedies ever! The dynamics between Lawrence and Robbins are vast and the plot’s VERY nice and twisty. If you don’t grand care for “boyz in da hood” type movies, don’t pains - this isn’t one. It’s fair a tall silly adventure that’ll earn you almost drop out of your chair laughing.

This is one of my approved comedies. Robbins and Lawrence are a really honorable team; the “spider-freak-out” dance by Robbins, and the goofy security guard routine by Steve Oedekerk were hilarious.

Paul Verhoeven’s stylish non-stop action TOTAL Seize is one of Arnold’s better movies. Featuring the now classic “judge this a divorce” scene, TOTAL Purchase bristles with electrical tension and brutally explicit action and violence. Do not assume this DVD. It doesn’t even have the March on WAshington speech in its entirety. I view that it would be equal in quality to the “Montgomery to Memphis” documentary of which I have an old-fashioned copy. It wasn’t even remotely discontinuance. So capture my advice. Pass on this choose and hope that some day there will be a DVD version of the unique “Montgomery to Memphis” video.

I first saw this documentary air on television. I knew then how critical it was that I add it to my broad CD and DVD collection. The film itself is a brief but, informative scrutinize into a movement that was led by one of the greatest figures of our time. A leader who do himself on the frontline of a struggle which was met with immense violence; only to preach “non-violence” to the people. I ’strongly’ recommend this DVD to people of ALL races and backgrounds. For those who have seen other documentaries on Dr. King; some of the footage may seem brief by comparison, but those with shrimp knowledge of Dr. King’s life will be surprised, elated, fearful, and informed.

Okay, I occupy we all know who Indiana Jones, is, good? I grew up with Indy and my kids will be the same. This current box-set is the definitive Indy box-set. This site features the unique classic trilogy plus the newest addition, “The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”. Fair like the space that came out in May for the 4th movie, this area comes with the novel special editions of the current 3 movies. The best fraction about this situation is that the 4th movie is the 2-Disc special edition and not the lame 1-disc version. My only complaints with this site are 1) that the DVD cases are those really lame slim cases and not regular sized DVD cases and 2) the bonus disc from the unusual trilogy boxset is missing (although the special features makeup for that is most respects) and 3) while the shroud is icy, the order of each movie camouflage is weird; you open from the top factual and work your method around. All in all, this is the best Indy box-set out there and it’s worth getting. Here’s my ratings for each movie:

Therefore, if you already have purchased the first three movies, objective rob a copy of INDIANA JONES AND THE CRYSTAL SKULL (it has the same extras that are included on this disc) and achieve yourself thirty or forty dollars. If you don’t bear those movies, I’d tranquil stammer you win them separately. Prices have dropped since the special edition DVDs were released in the spring and you can catch all four of the individual movies for a total of about $5-$10 less for what it costs for this boxed space.

This won’t be an in depth review, so I’ll hold this short. And this won’t be grand of a review of Contain Grylls as an expert on surviving in the wild. But, I will say these 10 adventures are exciting, and it shows us parts of the world that aren’t too explored….television wise, that is.

Also, there ARE English subtitles for this season. So, to anybody complaining about the lack of subtitles/closed captions on previous seasons, Discovery does it good with this season. I’m not clear if there are closed captions however, but there are English subtitles only.

Another thing, be prepared, like always, for a strong stomach for at least some of these episodes. Some of what he eats is honest poor.

I definitely enjoyed the season. I was hoping that the episode with Will Farrell was going to be in it but to my alarm, i will have to wait for the next season. there was a exiguous bit of stagnancy in the situations Maintain had to face. a lot of the situations that were left for him didn’t pan out as unexpected. must say that the bee-sting in the face on the salt pans was a test of endurance. made it through unprejudiced as the WILDMAN always does. this season is definitely a wonderful addition to the collection.

Maybe a little too aware, as the movie fails to ever rise above anything more than an extended episode, and not even one of its best episodes at that. Tru, there are plenty of good jokes; the animation has been kicked up a notch to be particularly sharp and detailed; and there are some truly memorable moments such as Bart’s nude skateboard ride and the “Spider-Pig” song. But when the film finally materialized, the payoff for long years of anticipation turned out to be small as the movie failed to live up to its potential; it’s amusing but not truly funny. The Simpsons Movie leaves the impression that maybe the show’s writers and producers had already spent their best ideas on the best years of the TV show.
