This is one of the best learning DVD’s I have seen. It will be a mountainous see for the Pre-k to first grade classrooms. The DVD teaches the letter names. Most importantly, it teaches the letter sounds in a creative device. Viewers seek the letters, hear the letter names, they peer a picture/video that represents the sound each letter makes, and the viewer hears a catchy tune to match the letter sound. For instance, the letter C is shown in a icy environment with ice hanging from it. The letter comes to life by shivering and stating that it is /c/ /c/ /c/…. stale. Then the characters in the legend boom the catchy Leapfrog song; “The C says/c/, the C says /c/, every letter makes a sound. The C says /c/. This DVD/VHS is marketed towards parents to employ with their PreK to First grader, but all teachers need to know about this video and fragment it with their class. It would be a gargantuan review or introduction to letter sounds. Teachers could also expend the catchy phrases and visual representation of the letter sounds in their lessons by creating activities or visuals based on the video. Students will search for the sounds letters accomplish, hear the sounds, and say the sounds. This video combined with strong phonics based classroom instruction will succor advance a variety of learning styles and lead your students on the path to becoming strong readers.

I unprejudiced can’t occupy how well done this DVD is for cramped ones. My cramped guy, age 3, learned his letters and sounds very mercurial after watching this DVD. Then, 3 weeks later after not watching it for about that long, he’s collected talking about what sounds each letter makes. It’s very well done, makes it very easy for children to understand, plus it’s very luscious to study. After about 34 times of hearing, “The R says errrr” with that tune attached gets a runt redundant, but not to limited ones. You have to salvage this for every preschooler you know. It’s really that expedient!

Though I usually relish Woody Allen’s more original work, I’m one of many filmgoers whose heart level-headed belongs to his earlier, anything-for-a-laugh, anarchistic comedies like Bananans, Sleeper, and this one. Engage the Money And Race was Woody Allen’s first steady film to utter himself and it remains one of his funniest. Disguised as a documentary, this 1969 film tells the hilarious chronicle of Virgil Starkweather, the world’s most inept (if stupidly optomistic) thief. Like most of Woody Allen’s early films, everything is played almost solely for the laughs it might provide and nearly forty years later, it all holds up very well. Lots of hilarious stuff in here (at times, this film is the funniest Mel Brooks film that Mel Brooks never made) but my personal well-liked bits would have to include: Virgil’s parents who disguise their indentities by wearing Groucho Marx glasses but will be familiar to anyone whose seen any of Allen’s films, Virgil’s attempt to take a bank is foiled when none of the clerks can read his abominable handwriting, another robbery goes dismal when a rival gang decides to hold the same bank at the same time, Virgil’s attempt to run from prison by making a fraudulent gun out of soap is ruined when it starts to rain, the eye of Woody Allen on a southern chain gang (and being punished by being locked in the hole with an insurance salesman), and especially the scene where a man Virgil attempts to mug turns out to be not only a childhood school friend but an undercover cop as well. Directing with a wild-anything-goes-spirit, Woody Allen gives one of his first (and best) “born loser” performances as Virgil. Amongst all the madness, the film also presents a bizarrely sweet worship tale between Virgil and his wife, who is well-played by the graceful (and the sadly no longer with us) Janet Margolin. Always underappreciated, Margolin was one of those forgotten, at times almost painfully vulnerable actresses that one can’t support but descend in adore with everytime she appears on shroud. Though overshadowed by the later Diane Keaton and Mia Farrow, Janet Margolin was Woody Allen’s first unlikely appreciate interest (in both film and briefly right life) and they have a strong chemistry together that adds distinguished heart to a wild film. Catch the Money and Speed remains hilarious and will be enjoyed by both fans of Woody Allen and classic film comedy.

This is the best of Woody Allen’s strictly-for-laughs movies. The interview segments which he uses for both comedic and dramatic purposes in many of his films are probably the most fun here, particularly his “parents” who wear disguises. The gags are worthy better than in his “Bananas” and the more than slightly comical dwelling doesn’t bog down as in his “Sleeper”. There are no stout true soapboxes, this movie is fair silly.

I bought this item and found it a total disappointment. The reasons being, it’s not HD Quality. Let me interpret. I bought this expecting the same refining and color conversion as the previous 2 blu-ray releases. When I watched the “History of Trunks” there was a plethora of grain clouding the record. The colors were not sparkling. It did not even witness as suited as Season releases of Dragonball Z on Remastered Dvd. Maintain in mind this is blu-ray, it’s teach to pick it a step higher!

Now the second Movie feature “Bardock: Father of Goku” looked a lot better a ton of grain was removed but is not up to specks as the last 2 releases, but I can call it HD. Unfortunatly what dissappointed me the most was what the Blu-ray box said. If you have a chance to go to the store and peep on the encourage hide of Blu-Ray box, you will peruse information on sound quality. You will peruse these selections:

*Dolby TruHD English 5.1 with Japanese Music

*Dolby TruHD Enigish 5.1 with U.S. Music

*Original Japanese

When you go to the gawk the setup menu The dolby TruHD with U.S. Music is not there instead you will glance Stereo 2.0 . Also known as deceptive advertisement.

How do you go from TruHD to Stereo that’s like getting 10 cents instead of a dollar or a bike instead of a car. Near on! Yeah Japanese film masters (whatever!)

Overall they slacked off on this last prodject and if they sustain it up I will boycott it.

Please your better off getting the Dvd Version and have an upconverter do the work for you.

If you don’t maintain me rent it!!!

If by some reason I got a awful copy somebody convey me Please!

The 4 star rating comes from honest the movies themselves - both are large. It seems like all Funimation did to transfer any of the DBZ movies to HD was increase the default brightness. When the explanation of how the Broly movie was transferred to HD came on, it compared the fresh footage to the fresh Japanese footage, and the fresh Footage looked better. In my view, the movies are honest better off bought on DVD(at least so far - The Tree of Might may be different) . If you want anime on blu-ray place it for Jin-Roh or Akira.

Most films released with such dinky promotion are immoral, but “The Thief Lord” is actually quite grand. One of its finest selling points is that it contains none of the dismal adult humor that is so common in original children’s movies. “The Thief Lord” is based on the German children’s book with the same name by Cornelia Funke. Although the same complaint about adaptations applies: The movie is almost never as satisfactory as the book, this should not preserve anyone from enjoying the film.

Buy,Download, Or Stream The Thief Lord! Click Here

There are a few minor changes to the myth mostly to accomplish it better beneficial to the shroud, but the movie follows the book fairly closely, and the location moves a lot quicker than its literary counterpart. Orphans Prosper and his younger brother Bo hurry away to Venice, the city from their mother’s fairy tales, because their aunt wants to separate them. Upon arriving in Venice, the boys approach under the protection of an older boy known as the Thief Lord who shelters a group of homeless street kids. However, their aunt isn’t about to give up that easily, and a detective is soon on hot Prosper’s and Bo’s straggle. When the Thief Lord agrees to effect a special theft for a mysterious count, the children, the detective, a photographer, and a hooked antiques dealer are all drawn into something distinguished larger than any of them could have guessed.

The children are well cast. The boys playing Prosper and Bo are the cutest kids since the boys picked to play Ron Weasley in the first Harry Potter movie and Colin Creevey in the second, and Riccio looks like a young Johnny Outrageous lawful down to the teeth. The film itself is well shot. It is clear that this was a uncouth budget film when it comes to the special effects, but things don’t always have to ogle like they cost millions of dollars. The makeup and effects could have been better for Scipio’s transformation though. That’s the only loyal disappointment.

Buy,Download, Or Stream The Thief Lord! Click Here

Overall, this movie is better than mighty of what is out there.

Up until the day that I saw “The Thief Lord” on the DVD shelf, I was entirely irregular with it and the book it’s based on. It was a incredible surprise. It follows the lives of two young boys named Prosper and Boniface who scramble off to Venice in order to remain together after losing their mother. She always told them how magical Venice was, and their expectations were high. Instead, they are left to fend for themselves on the street until they meet the Thief Lord. He’s sort of a unfavorable between Robin Hood and Peter Pan, though his intentions aren’t to discontinue young forever.

The Thief Lord houses a little band of orphans in an former theater, and Prosper and Bo join them. They come by the trust of the group when Prosper haggles with a local antiques dealer and garners a colossal sum of money for the group. As the tale rolls along, Bo and Prosper’s relatives hire a private discover to watch them out. They also hasten into a nice photographer who ends up helping them quite a bit during their adventures. Eventually, the duo command some wild information about the Thief Lord, hunt for a magical flee, and benefit there fellow orphans along the contrivance. It’s all done in a amazing and child-like fashion. The magic of Venice is slowly revealed and results in quite a expansive climax. The antiques dealer adds a nice bit of laughable relief, especially advance the extinguish of the film.

In closing, give “The Thief Lord” a chance. It doesn’t have the same budget as many other current “family kindly” films, but it is a worthy better film overall. It’s getting a lot of comparison to the “Harry Potter” flicks, but I possess that it stands apart from that film and really doesn’t have powerful in current with it other than the English accents. I highly recommend it, especially if you have children, but I even recommend it to adults who simply bask in magical tales.

“Angels and Demons Revealed” is a bit misleading. This documentary goes into sizable detail regarding the historical background of several prominent secret societies that have appeared and disappeared throughout history including the Illuminati, Freemasons, The Knights Templar, the Assassins, and the Priory of Sion. These secret brotherhoods have often been credited with, or accused of, working slow the scenes of international affairs to influence the course of human history. The evidence for this, however, is often slim and ellusive.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Angels and Demons Revealed! Click Here

The biggest quandary with this documentary, however, is that it really has nothing at all to do with the book “Angels and Demons” by Dan Brown other than it deals with the history of the Illuminati and the Knights Templar. Both of these groups were very actual, but the film puts a hugely biased slant on the sage, choosing to represent them as ghastly underground organizations working to enslave mankind. It makes no mention of the fact that the Illuminati were themselves created in the behind 18th century to promote knowledge and reason over church dominated superstition which had hindered these very Enlightenment virtues. And like the Illuminati, the Prior of Sion, if it ever truly existed, was alledged to have worked toward a similar and laudable goal. Hence it is reputed to have attracted the leading and most promising minds of their day: Issac Newton, Leonardo Da Vinci, Francis Bacon, and Benjamin Franklin. Whether or not the Priory ever actually existed is commence to debate and the evidence is not encouraging. The film, however, makes sizable efforts to link these groups together and to paint them as section of a diabolical understanding to make the dreaded Fresh World Order. Would such men as Franklin, Hugo, and Debussy really work to produce a wicked and opressive world regime? Questionable at best.

This documentary is animated for its portrayals of the various secret societies that it investigates, but many of its conclusions are seemingly biased and highly questionable. It also, disappointingly, had runt to do with the highly palatable original that it purports to “drawl”.

When you launch this dvd, pay cessation attenion to the doublecross symbol, there is a reason for this. What this video gives you is only allotment of the chronicle, Weishaupt was a JESUIT and no, the Jesuits were never against the illuminati. In 1773, a Papal Bull was issued banning the Company from the church and stripping all their wealth away. This is why Abe Burrel{sp? }was sent by the church, he was to contemplate out where the Jesuit went hiding and in a curious portion of history, they received befriend from George the 3rd, Frederick of Prussia and Catherine the Empress of Russia. If there are any doubts the Jesuits are not the masters of the NWO, I rush you to peep these gems: The Supressed Truth Of The Assassination Of Abraham Lincoln, The Stalin Jesuit Connection and my accepted Edmund Walsh, you will glean him in the middle of some of the most historical events of the 20th Century! Now one must ask themselves this, is this Fr. Walsh of the S.J. some lucky guy to be at all these historical events by chance or is there more than meets the examine? Also ogle into the CIA and the Knights of Malta connection and if you buy, it was the Knights under the thumb of the Jesuit Hudal, that was late Operation Ratline and British Intelligence and the OSS were in on it too! Now for the repulsive, Operation Pause Tedious and Gladio, this is where the CIA, NATO were directing unfounded flag Operation in Italy, this was linked to the P2 Masonic Lodge, Lucio Gelli and the Vatican. There is a book named ADR too and gives quite a bit of kindly information away.

This video, as friendly as it may seem, steers the viewers away from the role the Jesuits, Vatican and the Knights of Malta play in the NWO, I do recommend it though, impartial remeber it was produced for a reason.

This is one of the best opera DVD’s I have ever seen. You could not ask for more. It was recorded during one of those MET nights where everything goes perfect.

The title role is held perfectly by Marton. She isn’t a mammoth opera actress, but she IS a stout soprano, and for Turandot that’s enough.

As for Domingo’s warm notify, it has rarely been more keen. For him, everything went perfect that night. Calaf’s role suits him perfectly in both acting and singing. You could contemplate him suffering during high C’s, but this is even more thrilling especially since they approach out perfectly.

Mitchell’s Liu adds the cherry to the perfect Cake, while Levine’s extinct conducting is astonishing.

Zeffirelli’s sets alone would have made a sterling reason why to remove this DVD. Acts I and II are majestuous.

Finally, the DVD’s digital sound and image quality are outstanding. In summary, everything is Perfect!

Highly Recommended.

I gaze a lot of opera on DVD, and there’s usually some element of each performance that doesn’t quite match the others. Perhaps it’s a singer who isn’t on par with his or her cast members, or — more likely these days — the fabricate and/or directorial “notion” is anachronistic and distracting. But there’s absolutely nothing — and I mean nothing — that doesn’t work about this Met “Turandot.” One can quibble perhaps with the scope of Zeffirelli’s production, but for once his obsession with size pays off. This is an Asian fairytale, and the construct is appropriately fantastical. (I actually recommend that, if you glean the chance, you perceive this production in the house, as it has to be experienced live to be believed.) And the VOICES!! I was leery about Marton and Mitchell, as I haven’t always loved their work in the past; but they’re intelligent. As is Mr. Domingo, whom I’ve always loved. To be impartial, “Nessun Dorma” doesn’t quite explode the design it should, but I’ve rarely heard him in better bellow. All in all, I cannot imagine a better “Turandot” on DVD.

My pets behave better than this. And yet, this is what kids are doing. This is not an exaggeration or a class statement; these are valid kids in exact neighborhoods strolling the streets with no fair direction.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Kids! Click Here

It really was almost like watching a documentary on a primate species, how the males and females regain in separate groups to chirp and chatter at each other until it’s mating season. Then they all secure together in a great pile and have at it with whoever is handiest.

The spot? A day in the life of aimless kids: virgin conquests, shoplifting, public urinating, drinking, smoking, getting high, breaking into a pool for a skinny dip, street fighting (complete with a brutal, perhaps deadly beating for a simple transgression), raves, public fornication, and one girl’s discovery that she has AIDS.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Kids! Click Here

There are two scenes that stand out in the movie, the first being when Telly briefly comes home, and his mother is sitting on her hinder, smoking, nursing her original baby, and watching TV. She barely notices Telly is in the room, except to reveal him to be collected so he wouldn’t wake the baby. Parenting at its very worst, and you objective know that tiny baby will grow up the same as Telly.

The second is the scene where Casper wakes up after the party. He moves from the tub he passed out in, past his friend who is unconscious over the toilet, to the kitchen where he immediately drains the dregs of the leftover beer bottles and lights a cigarette. He then goes on to seize advantage of a girl who is passed out. Wow. Another morning in hell.

Larry Clark has done lovely well with Kids, though his work with ‘Bully’ was better, smoother, less raw while calm being on the cutting edge. The performances from Leo Fitzpatrick (Telly), Justin Pierce (Casper), Chloe Sevigny (Jennie), and Rosario Dawson (Ruby) are more than acceptable. Clark certainly has a talent for bringing teenage angst and degradation to the camouflage, and for using brutal scenes to hone his dagger of truth home to those audacious enough to glance his films. Indulge In!

“Kids” goes upright to the heart of everything that parents panic will become of their children. The youths that inhabit this film are not honest wayward… they are violent, amoral kids whose plot of evolution seems to have regressed to something more primal. The male lead, if you can call him that, in this movie is a truly horrific animal named Telly (played with scary realism by actor Leo Fitzpatrick) . Telly seems to exist for no other reason than drink, accumulate high, obtain into fights, and, oh yeah, deflower as many virgins as possible. He cajoles his conquests by telling them exactly what they want to hear, and once he’s accomplished his mission, he will have nothing to do with them. He says he prefers them because they aren’t all dirty or have diseases. Yet, the irony is, he is unknowingly carrying the AIDS virus around and endangering his conquests because it would seem that one of his ‘virgins’ was not quite fair with him. It’s not hard to witness how Telly can become such a monster. He has no good compass around which to earn. One brief scene takes area during a brief stopover at his house before he and his friend, Casper, bewitch off for more mayhem. His mother is sitting in the living room, folding laundry and watching TV while being almost totally oblivious to Telly being there. When Telly asks for some money, she says no and asks him when he’s going to find a job, he impartial says that he’s looking and then he goes into her room and takes some money, anyway. She wouldn’t know if it was missing.
The genuine place of this movie, as thin as it is, focuses on a girl named Jennie (who was one of Telly’s conquests) searching the streets of the city to gather Telly and terminate his virgin conquest because of the AIDS virus she unprejudiced found out he gave her. Her search is intercut with scenes of a brutal gang beating by Telly and his friends of guy who popped off his mouth, club kids exciting in animalistic carnal behavior, and a morally bankrupt party where kids as young as 10 are drinking up, getting high and participating in even more carnal behavior.
“Kids” gets a determined rating because there is nothing phony about its unflinching idea of the existence of kids with too worthy time on their hands and no direction in their lives. It does not derive a higher rating because the images are extremely graphic and difficult to digest. This movie is not for everyone, but, if someone feels the can handle the subject matter, it is a splendid yarn.

This 16th episode of Zatoichi tends to have a more complicated plotline than usual. This may be due to the fact that there are quite a few complicated characters in this film. Farmers in the province that Ichi has wandered into have clashed with the local Yakuza bosses, who wish to survey the farms fail in order to increase their revenues.

The champion of the farmers are led by two different groups. One is by benenvolent and caring boss who wants to gawk the farmers taken care of better, and the other is a sort of philospher-samurai who wants to inaugurate an agrarian cooperative of sorts. The Yakuza bosses want to explore the farms fail, because it will support increase their gambling revenues. Sound a shrimp complicated yet?

The acting in this episode is very good; however, it seems as if the director Satsuo Yamamoto was trying to establish too great into this particular Zatoichi episode. Moreover, lost in this film is the splendid qualities that we are old-fashioned to with the Ichi character. I maintain too grand reliance on severed limbs, and lots of blood was the major scrape with this episode. Yes, I am aware that Ichi lives in violent times and the nature of the swordsman sometimes requires the lopping off of a limb or two. But profitable writing always takes precedence to the violence.

However, the cinematography in the film is absolutely sparkling as usual: The delicate Japanese countryside is shown in all its splendor. I would not say this was the worst Zatoichi film. It could have been better; however, the storyline impartial didn’t go anywhere with me. Recommended, but with caution.

“Zatoichi the Outlaw” is the sixteenth in the extraordinary Zatoichi series. It is a tiny different in tone from previous entries, as it is the first installment co-produced by star Katsu Shintaro’s production company, Katsu Productions, and also the first in the series released by Toho studios. (In truth the movie was filmed under the previous Daiei Studios before they went bankrupt, and was only released by Toho. This confusion gave me a limited chuckle as the first image on the DVD is the Daiei logo, but the English subtitle reads “the Toho Company.”)

More intrigue and altruism than action, “Zatoichi the Outlaw” (Japanese title “Zatoichi ryoyaburi” or “Zatoichi’s Jailbreak”) pits a group of peasants trying to get a utopian, agrarian culture (singing songs of “no drinking and no gambling, no fighting and whoring!”) against a group of yakuza gangsters who want the peasants to fail in order to drive up the profits at their dens of vice. The peasants are supported by a satisfactory samurai lord who wants to seek them succeed, and by Asagoro, a wandering samurai like Zatoichi who believes in their dream. Zatoichi takes sides, and with his flashing cane sword sets up Asagoro as the unique village leader. Say with his actions, Zatoichi wanders off to his next adventure, but has reason to regret as he finds that Asagoro played him for a pawn, and all is not what it seems.

Directed by Yamamoto Satsuo (The Stupefied Lantern), “Zatoichi the Outlaw” is far denser in storyline than previous entries, and lighter on action. Also, it represents a turning point in the level of violence and blood. When Zatoichi slices, limbs and heads approach flying off, rather than honest people falling over tiring,. When Katsu Productions took over, they upped the gore value on the series, as well as allowed Zatoichi to grasp advantage of some of the offers the ladies so often through his map. The character is quiet the lovable rogue from the previous fifteen films, but he becomes more of a rounded human being and less of a perfect hero. This Zatoichi makes mistakes, kills the inappropriate people, and has to status suitable wrongs of his beget making.

Animeigo’s release of “Zatoichi the Outlaw” is dazzling, as expected. That company really takes care of their films, and makes positive that nothing less than perfection carries their logo. Separate color-coding is sometimes weak for the subtitles, which really helps when multiple characters assure at the same time. For extras the DVD nine pages of liner notes discussing the series and this particular episode, as well as translator notes explaining the title change! That level of detail is really appreciated. I always feel that with an Animeigo DVD you can actually scrutinize the movie as well as gape it.

“Zatoichi the Outlaw” is also included as share of the Zatoichi - The Blind Swordsman DVD Collector’s Edition Box also released by Animeigo.

The series follows Zeta (Nicknamed Zee), a robot trying to win his creator. He is helped by a girl named Ro, who teaches him about humans.

The main arrangement of the series is the interaction between the witty and sarcastic Ro, and the easily confused Zee. The action is also bewitching.

As a fan of the DC exciting universe, it is also wintry to contemplate the expanded world of Batman Beyond.

This is only the first half of the note, hopefully it will sell enough to warrant a second release. I highly recommend it to fans of cartoons, Batman Beyond, and parents who want a quality series for their kids that won’t drive them nuts.
